Vietnam's history makes it a popular tourist destination. People who are intrigued by the war would find the place fascinating because of the many museums and war sights. It is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Center for its incredible heritage. While there is enough and more to engage the history buffs, Vietnam has plenty of other sights and activities to offer as well - pristine beaches, temples, water sports and shopping. The view of the magical seascape from the decks of Halong Bay, spectacular caves in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, the war tunnels and the museums that take you back in time - they all make up for a truly memorable holiday. Accommodation is available for all budgets. Local transport is convenient and economical. Getting to the different cities is a bit of a task though.
