Wildlife Sanctuaries around Singapore

When striking forms of life like trees, animals, birds, flowers, plants and marine animals co-exist and live in harmony, you have the Wildlife! If you are looking to explore the wildlife sanctuaries around Singapore, the best place to pack your bags for would be Bali. It is almost a 3 hour flight from Singapore. The most famous sanctuary would be the Monkey Forest in Ubud. There are about 600 crab-eating monkeys that will terrify you and make you want to cuddle them at the same time. If you are a bird watcher, you are sure to enjoy the Tegal Bunder Trail in the West Bali National Park. A 4 hour flight will take you to Manila where you are visit the Manila Zoo, Manila Ocean Park and Arroceros Forest Park. If you don't mind spending one fourth of a day flying, you could go to Bohol in Philippines to see the extinct tarsiers in the many rainforests around the island. If you prefer a shorter flight, a 2.5 hour flight will take you to Kanchanaburi where you can visit the Tiger Temple. It is a Theravada Buddhist Temple founded as a forest temple and sanctuary for wild animals; among them several are tigers, the majority of which are Indochinese tigers. If you prefer minimal travel, then you can head to Tioman. Here you can trek in the Juara jungle and see Fruit Bats, Long Tail Macaques, Common Treeshrews, Malayan Colugos, Black Giant Squirrels, Monitor Lizards and many more unique species.
