• Go on a Jungle Safari : 6:30am to 8:30am & 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
  The safari takes you through the national park in an open 4x4 jeep,with some of the most knowledgeable guides at the wheel.There's plenty to see: elephants munching on bamboo,herds of spotted deer and Indian bison, peacocks in frenzy, paradise flycatchers and crested serpent eagles.Pray hard enough and you may just earn an audience with the reigning big cats in this Project Tiger Reserve.

Best time to visit:
Summer is the best time to spot animals gathering around the watering holes in the park.
December,January and February constitute mating season, and you'll have your best chance to sight a tiger.

By Road: Bandipur is about 220 kms from Bangalore, 80 kms from Mysore, 80 kms from Ooty and 170 kms from Coimbatore.

By Train: The closest railway station is at Mysore.

By Air: The closest airports are at Mysore and Bangalore. airstrip is at Mysore.Some buses do stop at Bandipur.

By Bus: Buses en-route from Mysore to Ooty pass through the National Park. You can get off at the Bandipur police check post. Windflower would make some arrangement to pick up you from there.
