Rangers Camp

Located at the base of the Kemmangundi hills, Rangers Camp is an ideal getaway that offers both adventure and comforts to ease you out of your hectic urban schedule and help you escape into a tranquil weekend of relaxation. You can choose to relax on the hammock in the cashew plantation and listen to the soothing music of birds or to go for a trek to the near by waterfalls and enjoy the beauty that mother nature has to offer.

Rangers Camp offers well furnished cottages with all modern facilities.  The cottage is surrounded by cashew, silver, teak and other plantation trees.

Expect a tasty and delicious spread. Both veg and non veg menu chosen from south/north indian cuisine would be served.

Kalhatti Falls - 3 Kms
Water cascades down from a height of 122 mtrs.  There is also a local temple here, constructed in a gap between rocks.

Amriteshwara temple - 30 Kms
Amriteshwara temple built in 1196 A.D. by Amriteshwara Dandanayaka, a general of the Hoysala ruler Ballala II.  One of the notable structures of the Hoysala period.

Hebbe Falls - 23Kms
Water gushes from a height of 168 mtrs in two stages.

Baba Budangiri - 44 Kms
A scenic hill station at a height of 1430m.  Here both Muslims as well as Hindus worship Baba Budan Darga and Dattatraya Swamy Temple respectively.  The Temple and the Darga are situated in caves.

Rangers Camp is around 250 kms from Bangalore requiring around 6 hours to travel.
The route to be taken is Bangalore to Birur on the Shimoga route and then a deviation to lingadahalli, krishnapura and then to ballavara. This resort is exactly 8 kms before the kemmanagundi peak.
