A small village in the beautiful locales of the Himalayan range, the Jungle Lore Birding Lodge is a cute cottage tucked in between lush vegetation, tall trees and sweet smelling flowers. The lodge is located in the northwestern forest range of Nainital, in the village of Pangot.
Facilities The surroundings here are the proud abode of 250 species of birds. For nature lovers and bird watchers, this is the place to be. The hotel also provides camping facilities to the guests as well.
Rooms The lodge has 4 cottages with attached toilets and running hot & cold water. One of the four cottages serves the purpose of a dining hall. The other three cottages have independent bedrooms with twin beds, two of them having an attic each that can accommodate two additional persons in each attic. 2 of the cottages have fireplaces, while all of them have heaters for winters. Guests can also opt to camp in large tents with an independent toilet and bathroom. The small cottage is less fancy and has an attached toilet and a hot shower, along with amenities like extra bed on the floor or a folding bed. The Standard and Big cottages have an attached toilet and a hot shower. The extra beds are placed in the attic. However, the Big cottage has a fireplace as well. The hotel provides Swiss with an independent toilet and a hot shower. The tent can accommodate two persons on camp cots. Besides this, the hotel also has 4 rooms in Kafal House with en suite facilities, adjoining Jungle Lore.
Dining An intriguing cottage on the slopes of the hill constitutes the dining hall here. The restaurant here specializes in Indian and western cuisine. Interestingly, the vegetable used in the food is grown organically in the lodge's very own garden.
