Description
STREETS International is an innovative, non-profit, founded in New York in 2007 to provide culinary and hospitality training for street kids, orphans and other disadvantaged youth in developing countries.
This half-day special culinary experience allows visitors to Hoi An to work with
and learn from STREETS Trainees in a local market tour, introductory cooking
class and lunch including famous Hoi An Cao Lau noodle and home-made
dessert. The Trainees, all young adults ages 16-22, come from extremely
disadvantaged backgrounds and are now participating in the STREETS
comprehensive hospitality culinary training program.
This unique ½ day experience is not just an opportunity to learn some basic
Vietnamese cooking, but importantly to experience firsthand the rich and
authentic encounter of working together with these very special students.
