Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park: The park is a UNESCO World Heritage listed site and has also yearned the title of a pilgrimage. The region, Uluru and its surroundings, are of deep cultural significance to the traditional owners, Anangu. You take take walks, bike rides and guided tours to understand the desert culture. 

Ayers Rock: One of the most impressive landmarks in Australia. It is located in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The rocks are a large sandstone rock formation which is known for changing dramatically with shifting light and seasons. While it appears ochre-brown in the afternoons, as the sun sets it illuminates the rock in burnished orange. Then you can see different shades of red and finally charcoal color.
Bushwalking: There are numerous locations in Uluru that you can explore on foot; and by choosing to walk, you are respecting the Tjukurpa and Anangu wishes. Popular places are Kata Tjuta and Talinguru Nyakunytjaku.

Birdwatching: In Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, there is a record of sighting over 178 species of birds and lot of them are rare species too like the scarlet-chested parrot and the grey honeyeater.
Bough House: An Australian restaurant which is family-friendly and overlooks the pool at the Outback Pioneer. You can enjoy an intimate candlelit dinner of dishes prepared in native ingredients such as lemon myrtle, kakadu plums and bush tomatoes. Australian wildlife meats is recommended and so is the braised wallaby shank. If you have a sweet-tooth, the dessert buffet is complementary with your main course.

Outback Pioneer Barbecue: If you are looking for a laid-back and economical evening, this is the perfect choice. The menu lets you choose between kangaroo skewers, prawns, veggie burgers, steaks and emu sausages, and grill them yourself at the communal BBQs. There is also a salad bar. 
Maruku Arts: This place is owned by 20 Anangu communities and sells hand-crafted wooden carvings, bowls and boomerangs.

Ininti Cafe & Souvenirs: A perfect place to buy souvenirs. You get T-shirts, ceramics, hats, CDs and a variety of books on Uluru, Aboriginal culture, bush foods and the flora and fauna of the area. There is also a cafe where you get ice cream, pies and light meals.

Climate: Uluru's climate is that of extremes. During winter, the temperature in the night goes below 0 and during summers, the temperature reaches upto 45°C.
