Tathagata Farm

Located at a remote Organic Farming Village popularly known as Mineral Spring, Tathagata Farm and Community Homestays were developed looking into the socio-economic condition of the village based just on agriculture. Simple yet rejuvenating - if you wish to experience local interaction at its best and the Himalayan crispy air and sweet spring waters then this is exactly the place you're looking for.

Tathagata Farm has a few basic independent huts. The independent huts have private bathroom and shower. The rooms have twin and double beds with a large opening at the front and a sitting area overlooking the farm. All huts have large windows for ample light and fresh air.

They have a big opening at the front facing the agricultural land where we grow our tea, cardamom, ginger, vegetables, organges and other crops. Designed more as a simple retreat with just the facilities that a traveller would need. Tathagata Farm and Community Homestays are simple and basic accommodation.

Tathagata Farm and Community Homestays was initiated about 4 years ago to support and sustain economic growth of the village popularly known as Mineral Springs. They have successfully managed to motivate a number of homes to open their doors for the travellers. By staying in these farmstay and homestays you'll be directly supporting the socio-economic cause.

Its a part of the major project to micro manage economics of the agriculture based community in the village and to open up avenues for income through tourism besides the meagre cash flow from the agriculture.

Tathagata Farm is located in a Certified Organic Village, a community of Small Farmers at Aap Botay, Mineral Spring, Darjeeling. Mineral Spring is approximately 1 hour drive from Darjeeling town (18 Kms).
