Honiara Botanic Gardens: The gardens are located on the hills above the city.  It is considered as a green haven for nature lovers.You'll find, in these gardens, well-marked eco walking tracks, picnic areas, The Orchid House and the haunted old hanging house site.

Marovo Lagoon: Considered as the South Pacific gem, Marovo Lagoon is the world's finest double-barrier-enclosed lagoons. There are numerous smaller islands that are covered by coconut palms, rainforests and corals. The best way to explore the lagoon is by kayak.

Other points of interest in Solomon Islands are Tenaru Falls, Mataniko Falls, Rennell Island, Skull Island and Cave of the Custom Shark.
Water sports like surfing, snorkeling, diving and kayaking are common activities to consider.

Hiking up the crater's rim on Kolombangara is exhilarating. You will follow a logging road initially then continue up through the thickly wooded forest to reach the top. The scenery is sublime and you can see the Vonavona Lagoon which is mesmerizing. 
There are many restaurants that portray how much the island has been influenced by European powers. But there are still spots where you will find the traditional cooking style and traditional cooking hasn't perished. The primary ingredients of the local delicacies include, taro, coconuts, fish and fresh fruits and vegetables.

Club Havanah: A restaurant where you are served the French cuisine. A delightful restaurant and the recommended dish is ambitious confit de canard maison which is duck cooked and preserved in its own fat. 

Bamboo Bar Cafe: One of the snazziest spots in town where you can drop in at any time and enjoy a comforting breakfast, lunch or snack.  
Shopping in Solomon Islands means bags of pearl carvings, shells, basket-ware, wooden carvings and intricate jewelry. 
For souvenirs you can visit Melanesian Handicrafts, King Solomon's Handicraft and DJ Graphics.
