Solan is also home to the annual cultural festival known as Shoolini Mahotsav dedicated to the goddess Shoolini Devi where there is plenty of fun for visiting travellers as they can witness various plays and Thoda dances which the region is famous for.
Plenty of miniature museums and art galleries within the city that are known for their distinctive Thoda Culture
Cafe 7: This restaurant is located at the City Center Plaza and is an amazing restaurant which is known for it's excellent North Indian, Western as well as Continental cuisine . The ideal place to visit after a good long day of shopping.
Himani Restaurant : The restaurant is located at Mall Road and is known to be a wonderful restaurant known for it's excellent cuisine and also houses a bar. The place is relatively expensive but worth the visit.
Anupama Restaurant: Another well known restaurant located at Mall Road which is known for it's North Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisine as well as it's buffet which is really popular in the city.
Mall Road : The main shopping center in the city which is simply a long road with a series of shops lined up on either side that sell a wide range of items right from Antiques, Silverware and Metalworks to Handictafts, Handlooms and local wood and canecrafts.
Tibetan Market : A market which is well known to be run primarily by Tibetans where you can purchase articles like traditional Tibetan Handicrafts, Handlooms , Antiques and Souvenirs.
There are plenty of malls in the city to have a good long day of shopping. Some of the well known ones include the City Centre Plaza, Platinum Mall and Kali Ghat Complex

Climate: The town is known to have a pleasant climate . Summers are know to be hot and fairly humid but temperatures are known not to soar beyond 33 degree Celsius. The region experiences a decent amount of rainfall courtesy the palpable humidity levels. Winters are known to be extremely cold yet pleasant with temperatures going close to the freezing point
