Ras Resorts Silvassa - Riverfront Resort

Ras Resorts, on the bank of river Daman Ganga, with lush green lawns bordered with trees & fresh countryside air, is just a two and a half hour drive away from Mumbai and a two hour drive from Surat. The resort offers 100 rooms including Standard, Deluxe and Executive style rooms, all of which have scenic views facing either the garden or the river.

There is also a children's playground, swimming pool, health club / wellness centre, play area where Housie, Magic shows, Live Bands & more are often organised, three conference halls ideal for holding social functions, celebrations, events, business conferences, product launches and corporate functions, a party for weddings, get togethers and banquets for upto 500 people.

The Resort offers Suites, Executive and Portuguese rooms. All guestrooms and suites have scenic views, facing either the garden or the river.

All rooms are well furnished with Air conditioning, telephone, television, direct dialing facility and 24 hr supply of hot and cold water.

Portuguese Wing rooms
There are 25 standard rooms, which are hexagonal in shape, and housed in blocks which are built on Portuguese Villa-type architecture.

Executive Wing Rooms
There are 75 executive air conditioned rooms, which are rectangular in shape, with a large bed / 2 twin beds & with either a sofa-cum-bed or 2 sofa chairs and have either a bath tub or shower cubicle.

Suites
There are 6 Suites, which are spacious, and equipped with a living room in addition to the bedroom.

The Banyan Tree Outdoor
The Banyan Tree located within the Lounge & Bar is believed to be over 150 years old, dating back to when the Portuguese ruled Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Local folklore is that a renowned sage sat under this very tree and meditated to acquire gastronomy knowledge that would be worthy of the Gods. The Chefs seek his divine blessings everyday and bring to you exotic meals for your gastronomic pleasure. Open from 7 p.m. to 11.00 p.m.

Lakes & Garden
Immersed in the murmur of brooks and the ripple of waterfalls, is a garden named after the local tribal Deity 'Hirwa' Hirwavan Garden. If you are early you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the sun creating magical rainbows on the fountains near Vanganga Lake.

The world renowned Warli Paintings adorn the humble abodes of the locals. And as you watch the villagers perform their ancient folk dances in bright orange striped costumes, you feel the air of anticipation as the locals invoke the Tiger, the Lord of the Jungle. Havelis
The history of Dadra and Nagar Haveli is carved in wood and stone in the monuments from the past that dot the land. Ancient, dilapidated ruins of vast houses maintain an imposing silence. The intricate carvings on the door have mysteriously remained intact, perhaps to remind future generations of an ancient, and glorious, past.

Temples & Churches
There are several old shrines of various types in Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Bindrabin, the historic temple at Lord Shiva is locally known as Tadkeshwara, where people from far off places visit to pray and seek blessings.

One of the many fascinating sights you see in Dadra & Nagar Haveli is a glorious century old chapel, the Church of Our Lady of Piety, built in 1889, by the Portuguese.
