Old Magazine House is unique and rugged adventure camp, surrounded by the thick jungle, where tourists and travelers alike can feel truly one with Nature. Not a sound except the chorus of the jungle. There you can totally unwind and rediscover your true self.
There are 2 types of accommodation.
Dining is arranged on a large terrace above the Magazine House, with plenty of space for casual movement. The furniture is all rustic and made of solid wood, with your convenience and taste in mind. One can also relax on the low cushioned seating along the sides of the parapet at the terrace and gaze at the starry night sky whilst listening to the hooting of the owl.
Cooking is done in the kitchen below and quickly brought up piping-hot through a spiral staircase. For needs like tea, real south Indian Coffee, toast, eggs, snacks, etc, there is the service counter at the side of dinning area.There is also an option to relax and dine under a big tree nearby in easy-chairs around a camp-fire at night.
The Old Magazine House is located on Londa - Dandeli Road. The entire camp is covered with thick tree-growth constituting the Reserve Forest, which is out of bounds for the general public. The Govt. ownership ensures total peace and tranquility to the weary traveler residing in our camp. The camp is situated approximately 1,800 feet above sea level and blessed with a salubrious climate round the year.
