Getting to Malaysia
From the population to the cuisine, Malaysia defines diversity. It is a mix of the modern world and a developing nation, whose culture is most influenced by Malays, Indians, the Chinese and the British. It is a paradise for photographers, foodies, adrenaline junkies, art and culture enthusiasts and shopaholics. Being a famous tourist destination, the connectivity to Malaysia is excellent. Also, getting around is hassle-free and convenient. Budget and mid-range accommodation is available in all parts of the country. More luxurious accommodation is available in large cities like Kuala Lumpur and Penang. Malaysia is also famous for having the cheapest 5 star hotels.

Why Visit ?
Petronas Twin Towers: Gives you astonishing views of Kuala Lumpur from 170 meters above the ground. It was declared the tallest building when the construction was complete. It contains office buildings, conference halls, a 50-acre park and a shopping complex.

Pristine beaches and islands are in plenty that beautify the country. Like Tioman Island. Mersing. Sibu Island.

There are many well-maintained zoos and national parks to visit too. Kuala Lumpur's Zoo Negara, Malacca's Zoo and Taiping Zoo are among the best.
Whitewater rafting: Difficulty level to suit beginners, experts and everyone in between can be found. While the Anak Jelai River and Tebeling River can be enjoyed by beginners, Singoh River and Telom River excite the experienced.

Kinabalu National Park: Malaysia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the world's largest collections of flora and fauna. It takes 2 days to get to the summit and that is an adventurous challenge for climbers.

Scuba diving is another popular water sport limited to the months between April and September. And the most popular sites are East Coast of peninsular Malaysia and Sipadan.
The Malaysian cuisine mirrors the multi-ethinicity of its population. It is a fusion of Malay, Indian and Chinese dishes.

Cheapest places to explore the Malaysian cuisine would be local stalls and coffeehouses.

Xin Quan Fang: A Malaysian menu with limited options. But the few dishes they serve make you forget that fact anyway!

Rebung: A buffet flaunting the Malay cuisine and offering cooking classes as well. It is most visited for its authenticity and consistency.
There are a lot of stores and malls for budget shopping as well as places to splurge. For some budget shopping one could go to Chinatown or Kuching. And those with deep pockets could go to Kuala Lumpur.

Traditional Malaysia fabric is a commonly purchased souvenir. Art and craft, clothes, electronics, watches, computer goods and so much more is also available.
Languages spoken: Malaysian

Currency: Malaysian Ringgit

Climate: Malaysia is hot and humid throughout the year. Generally, the dry season lasts from June to September and the rainy season lasts from December to March.

Connectivity: Variety of networks with plans for minimal use as well as excessive use. A few file sharing websites have been banned in the country.

Trivia: The number 4 sounds similar to the sound of death in Chinese, Si. And so some buildings replace the 4th floor with 3A.
