Getting to Madaba

Madaba has a unique cultural mix where one third of its population is Christian and the rest are Muslims. One of the most magnificent views of Jordan can be experienced from Mount Nebo, just 10 minutes drive from the downtown. From here, the Dead sea, Jerico and even the hills overlooking Jerusalem are visible when the skies are clear. This is fabled to be the spot where Moses stood and witnessed the promised land. Madaba is also used by most travelers as a base to visit the Dead Sea with several day trip packages easily available. It is just 25 minutes from Amman which makes it well connected to all major cities and an excellent base to explore Jordan.

The best pizzas to try in particular are the deep dish and the wood fried pizza. The pizza along with some of the fine beverages and desserts make your meal even better.

Petra Restaurant: This is the best restaurant to head to if you are looking for some finely grilled Kebabs seasoned with peppered vegetables on a stick.
