Getting to Luxor
One of the most frequently used phrases to describe this city is "Classically Egyptian". Almost nothing elsewhere in the world comes close to the scale and historical grandeur that is on display here. One is greeted by the awe inspiring sight of the Nile slicing through the modern city and the west-bank necropolis set against the Theban valley. The historical riches of the temple of Karnak and Luxor on one side and the numerous temples and tombs on the other complete the picture. Walking through Luxor is like walking through he pages of history and the experience will leave you richer. It is also a treat for the foodies with lip smacking local delights on offer. From Dubai, Luxor is just under 5 hours by flight.
