Kufri Holiday Resort offers luxurious and comfortable accommodation in the midst of some of India's most beautiful mountain ranges and natural beauty. The Resort is divided into three blocks

The Main Block
Standard rooms: Standard rooms are 280 sq ft in size including the bathrooms. The wall to wall carpets make for a real cozy and comfortable stay even in the coldest of winters. Each room overlooks the valley and the Himalayan Mountain Ranges

The Kuber block
Deluxe rooms: Deluxe Rooms occupy 320 sq ft including the bathrooms. The Central deluxe rooms have a huge balcony. The flooring is Parquet. Choice of showers or bath tubs are available.

Luxury Suites: The Luxury Suites have a separate living room & dining room, besides a spacious bedroom. They are tastefully done up with all the modern conveniences and offer fantastic views of mountains and valleys. Watching the sun rise from these Suites is truly a captivating experience.

Royal Suites: The Royal Suites have a separate living room & dining room, besides a luxurious bedroom. The spacious toilet features a twin bath tub with a view of the valley.

The Cottages block
One Bedroom Cottages: One Bedroom Cottages are Independent Units with living room with fire place and spacious bedroom. Its ideal for family with small children.

Two Bedroom Cottages: Two Bedroom Cottages are Independent Units featuring a living room with fire place and two separate bedrooms. Its ideal for couples or a family on a holiday.

Studio Cottages: Studio Cottages are Independent units ideal for Honeymoon couples.

Dining
The multi-cuisine restaurant is open for all 3 meals of the day and leaves you breathless with mouth-watering food. A specialty of Kufri Holiday Resort, this restaurant is something that will make you visit again and again.

Bar
A well stocked bar with a very well decorated multi-cuisine restaurant gives you the chance to relish the most exquisite culinary delicacies as you sit back and appreciate the beauty of the green terrains and the mountains.

Picnics
You can pick soft day hikes or choose from arranged special picnics and family treks. Go White-water rafting at Tattapani, play Golf at Naldera’s nine-hole course or go Trout Fishing as arranged on Pabbar River.

Sight seeing
Special over-night sight seeing tours can also be organized to Bhima Kali Temple and Kinnar Kailash at Sarhan. In winter Kufri transforms into a fairy tale picture post card with snow-covered mountains and trees.

Adventure activities
Kufri has one of the finest ski-slopes in the country where you can enjoy the thrill of tobogganing, sledging and skiing. So, build a snowman or go trampling through the silvery forests for an exhilarating feeling.

Day drives
There is an enormous range of flora and fauna waiting to be discovered in and around Kufri. They can arrange day drives by the dozen which make excellent family excursions and also allow for quick romantic getaways.

Indoor Games
In the evenings you are provided with all kinds of fun events at the Resort including fine dining, a bar with musical evenings, a Billiards Table, Badminton, Table tennis, Carrom board and Playing cards.

Mahasu Peak
Explore and hike through the thick forests around Kufri and make your way to the highest point in the area, Mahasu Peak. There is a small temple on the top of the hill and the panoramic view from is breathtaking.

Himalayan Nature Park
This park is located next to the Indira Tourist Café and is just a 5 minute walk from the Resort. The park has a unique collection of birds and animals that can only be found in the higher reaches of the Himalayas. The Indira tourist park also has a small Tibetan market for variety of handicrafts and other foreign goods.

Fagu
Picturesquely located amid forests and apple orchards on a pass between two valleys, Fagu is a vantage point with panoramic views of the higher ranges and valleys. Just 6 km from Kufri and 22 km from Shimla, Fagu is located at a height of 2,509 meters and has a rest house and tourist bungalow overlooking the Giri valley.

Catchment area
This beautiful areas feeds water to Shimla. A half hour mud track drive brings you to the Spur where there is a large collection tank built by the Britishin stone, surrounded by abundant open spaces for picnicking. Permission is required in advance from the local forest officeand our staff will ensure this is managed for you.

Chadwick
Falls Seven kilometers from Shimla and beyond Summer Hill are the silent Chadwick Falls. At an altitude of 1,586 meters, the 67 meters falls were best in the Monsoon. A deep gorge was finely carved out by the once flowing waters.

Naldhera
22 kms from the Resort, Naldhera is home to the oldest golf course in India. This nine hole par 68 course is considered one of the most challenging courses in India. Lord Curzon, Governor General and Viceroy of India (1899-1905) had this course built at the turn of the 19th Century.

Chail
Chail is 26 km from Kufri or an hour's drive though beautiful oak and pine forests. The Maharaja of Patiala built it as his summer retreat following a restriction on his entry to Shimla. The place is well known for its cricket and polo grounds, which are at an altitude of 2,250m making it the highest pitch in the World. Chail is also considered a hiker's paradise with a dozen trek routes leading out of Chail to Choor Peak, Shimla and other Himalayan areas.

The Glen:
At 1830 m, this is a thickly wooded ravine through which a stream flows. It is a popular picnic spot near Shimla.

Mashobra:
At 2149 m, a thick forest surrounds this beautiful suburb. From here, a track leads down to Sipur which is an exquisite glade shaded by ancient deodar trees. There are old temples on a side and a fair is held here every April.

The Vice Regal Lodge
Institute of Advance Studies or formerly the Vice regal Lodge was originally built as a home for Lord Dufferin Viceroy of India. Henry Irwin designed this Baronial style building on a 331-acre site that was leveled for the purpose. For its day, the Lodge had state-of-the-art technology. It had its own steam generator, and was the first building in Shimla to employ electric lighting.

Jakhoo Hill
This is the highest peak in Shimla, boasting a spectacular panoramic view of the city, its surrounding hills and distant Himalayan ranges. It is 2,455 m above sea level. The almost vertical 2.5 km trek is not for everyone, but the breathtaking sunset and sunrise views from here make the arduous trek worth every step taken. Jakhoo is also famous for an ancient Hanuman temple which sits on top of the hill.

Tara Devi
Calm and tranquil, 11 km from the Shimla bus stand, Tara Devi has a temple dedicated to the Goddess of the Stars on top of a hill. Developed by the British, it holds the Military Dairy Farm, and the boy scout head-quarters.

By Road
Kufri is linked with Shimla, Narkanda, and Rampur by highway NS22. It is just 15 km from Shimla, Chandigarh (132 km), Kullu (236 km), Manali (276 km), Delhi (358 km).

By Bus
Special conducted bus tours can be hired from Kufri to Shimla. Regular buses and taxis are also available from Shimla.

By Train
Kufri is on the Kalka-Shimla Railway Line and the nearest railway station is Shimla which is 15 km from the Resort. Kalka can easily be reached by train from New Delhi or Chandigarh and the 92 km toy-train journey to Shimla is a steep and exciting one. From Shimla station you can easily get to Kufri by taxi, bus or by foot.

By Air
Kufri does not have an airport, but the nearest airport is at Jubbarhatti which is at a distance of 23km from Shimla and 35 kms from Kufri. Taxis/buses are available from the airport to Shimla. Direct flights from Delhi are available on alternate days.
