Description
Your journey will start at your hotel where the team will come to pick you up.
This tour will bring you deep in the forest to the former capital of the Khmer Empire, Koh Ker, which includes a series of ruins around a baray. Apart from the impressive 7-tier pyramid, there are several other outstanding ruins, like the giant lingas and the magnificent elephant temple to discover.
This tour also includes a 4-hour cultural walk through the village of Koh Ker, where you will experience firsthand how life in rural Cambodia is on a daily basis. The cultural walk is done in cojunction with an entity founded by two former high school students, who went back to their home village to start a company and bring support to their families.
It is important to highlight that the area is also of great interest to bird watchers.
Also, Beng Mealea, offers stunning photography opportunities of roots
intertwining with temples walls. The grounds cover more than one square kilometer, with lush, and overgrown vegetation.
Day 1:
Departure from Siem Reap at 8.30 am.
Once out of town, we will ride hidden trails and winding tracks through rice fields and bamboo shrouded villages. Our unique route selection keeps you off the roads to the highest degree possible. It is a fairly easy and very scenic ride.
Our first stop will be the small but rarly visited temple of Chau Srei Vibol. It is set on top of a small hill surrounded by forest and also features a new and very colourful pagoda and a monastery at the foot of the hill.
Afterwards the tour will head to the Jungle temple of Beng Mealea. As it covers huge grounds, we will stop there for the rest of the morning, before having lunch and heading north to Koh Ker.
The afternoon will be spend visiting several smaller temples and climbing the impressive 7-tier pyramid for beautiful views over the surrounding areas.

Day 2:
After breakfast, set out on the cultural walk. You will visit farms, traditional houses and see how different life is out here compared to bustling Siem Reap.
After the walk, we will have lunch and a last look around the temples before heading back to Siem Reap.
Return will be between 5-6 pm.
