The town of Kasauli was established as a hill station by the British in the year in 1842. Located in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, the town is at a distance of 77 km from Shimla and 65 km from Chandigarh. One of those places which has not yet earned it's spot on India's map of tourism. Kasauli acts as more of a stopover on the way to Shimla.
Monkey Point: The highest situated spot in Kasauli. The spot is known to offer some magnificent views especially when the day is clear.
Christ Church: Located near the bus stand, it was first constructed by the British family that established Kasauli. A magnificent structure which is built like a cross, it is located in a fine grove of lush greenery and is a place of worship for many families in town.
Sunset Point & Gilbert Trail: Located at about 1 km from the bus stand ,Sunset point provides an amazing view of the nearby hills. On a clear it is possible to view Chandigarh from up here .
Hangout, Bar & Restaurant : One of the best places in Kasauli for some Wine&Dine. Like the name suggests, it is an ideal hangout for groups of friends with great food, music and fine menu of beverages. The restaurant also has an amazing playlist of western music to add to the feel.
Ross Common Restaurant: A restaurant which is well known for it's location right in nature's lap. A good place, particularly for evening meals and parties. Serves wonderful Indian, Western and Continental food at a decent price.
Rudra Cafe: The ideal place to visit if you are in for a wonderful Cafe&Snack meal along with some feet tapping numbers from the restaurant's playlist.Mall Road : A good place to shop at if you are in for some local artifacts and clothing. The area is also known to have some amazing stores that sell homemade jams, jelly and chocolates.
Pinkonez: Well known for rare souvenirs and artifacts.
Mug Studio: Another well known souvenir shop which also sells customized gifts.Language: Hindi and English
Climate: Summers are known to be pleasant and slightly warm as compared to winters where the mercury dips to temperatures close to freezing point. The region experiences maximum rainfall during it's Monsoon in September.
