Temples

• Jwalpa Devi Temple is located 47 Km from Lansdowne on the Pauri-Kotdwar Road
• Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple located 30 Km away, is one of the oldest sidhapeeths in India .The holy Shiv Linga is at the highlight point of this temple.
• Tarkeshwar temple is 600 years old and is the 'Gaon Devda' (village Diety) for 94 villages in Garhwal region.
• Durga Devi Temple is another temples in the vicinity.

Churches
There are some beautiful British churches here, a legacy of the Raj.

• A famous one is century old St. Mary's Church
• Less old, but equally mesmerizing is St. John's Church

Festivals
Melas (Periodic Festivites) are held in Lansdowne twice a year – In may and October. They add to the fun and color of Lansdowne.

Treks
No holiday is complete without trekking. Lansdowne offers ample opportunities on this count. Lots of sites are available for trekkers to explore. In fact, trekking at Lansdowne is easier than other hill stations since the stretches are not that steep. This is ideal for an easy going family trek.

By Road
Lansdowne is the nearest hill station from Delhi which is 250 kms away. It is 95 km from Haridwar and 150 km from Dehradun. Lansdowne is also linked by a motorable road to almost all the important cities in Uttarakhand.

By Rail
If you opt for Rail Route, the nearest railhead for Lansdowne is Kotdwar, which is well connected by buses and jeeps. There is no dearth of private taxis to cover the 41-km distance between Kotdwar and Lansdowne. Kotdwar is a gateway to the hills and one of the last railway stations for Garhwal.

By Air
For the guests who wish to arrive by air, the nearest airsport is 140 km away at Jolly Grant, Dehradun. Private cabs will take nearly two and a half hours to reach Lansdowne.
