West Bengal Hill Stations - Kalimpong & Darjeeling

Kalimpong and Darjeeling are two cities located in the Himalayas of North-Eastern part of India. Both of them have had a similar history - initially belonging to the chyogals of Sikkim and then later on becoming a part of the British India.

Kalimpong boasts of view of the Himalayas, Buddhists monasteries and pretty colonial architecture. Kalimpong also has various hiking routes with amazing views of the magnificent mountains for ones with a taste for adventure.

With the region being suitable for tea-plantations, the British established Darjeeling as a hill-station and a summer resort. After the annexation of Tibet by China, a lot of Tibetan refugees moved here. As a result, this city is laden with a mixture of colonial and Buddhist architecture. You can spot lovely Victorian homes of the old times, and the pagodas and monasteries, with the hills and plantations surrounding it.

• Due to rough roads and seeing the clearance of the roads the cost has been based on 04 pax in a vehicle.
• Regarding Cable Car Ride - During the peak / high seasons, the queue for Cable Car Ride is huge. Due to shortage of time, accommodating the cable car ride with other sightseeing becomes impossible. Under such circumstance the cable car ride gets called off. Since the ride is complimentary, no refunds will be given for the services not utilized.
• It is advised to travel light with minimum baggage of one piece per person. In case of excess baggage, you will have to opt for an additional vehicle for carrying the excess baggage. The cost for this will be collected directly during the trip.
