Built in 1917 in a style that can be described as blend of vintage English and Australian architecture, the I-India guesthouse is a heritage building today. The glorious structure overlooks the green and misty valleys of Ooty's Nilgiri Range. You will find the decor to be simple, neat, and pretty, giving the guesthouse a very homely feel. The guesthouse features 'The Glass House' with a stunning view of the valley, indoor activities, the 'Tea Room' which is library with a fireplace, and a selection of tea for guests to sip on, while admiring the selection of organic seeds, nature products and ethnic handicrafts, and the 'Hammock' which is an in-property campsite tucked in the woods with magnificent views and hiking trails.
Guests are served a continental breakfast, and choice of Indian and International Cuisine for lunch and dinner. Weather permitting, the dining area extends to the lawn for breakfast and BBQ dinner. You can also enjoy a BBQ lunch at the Hammock. The guesthouse offers spectacular, educational and engaging day trips, which are popular among visitors. You can also join conservationists in their efforts to preserve this breathtaking region.
