Leave early morning to avoid the traffic jams and drive to the monkey forest ALAS KEDATON: Be the first guests of the morning to meet the monkeys. They are most lively at this time. There is also a large population of flying foxes in the forest, some close enough to take great photos.
Another half hour drive takes you to the BUTTERFLY PARK. Wander amongst colourful butterflies, admire strange beetles and other curious insects.
A short drive takes you to the slopes of Mount Batukaru , Bali?s second highest volcano covered with primal rainforest. Visit a beautiful temple in the middle of the jungle and take a half hour hike through bamboo and giant trees to a fresh and clear river.
Ready for lunch? Feast on a sumptuous Balinese buffet in a restaurant with panoramic vistas of rice terraces.
Afterward stroll through a spice garden and have coffee, cacao and vanilla farming explained.
In the afternoon you will leisurely drive through Bali?s most spectacular countryside with extraordinary rice terraces. Eventually- on the way home- we visit a Balinese family compound.
