First time taking up such classes and this is a real good experience! This consists of a trip to the traditional market in the morning (pick up around 7am from hotel) and then the hands on cooking! If you did not visit the traditional market before, it is worth a walk to experience the local vibes.
Our guide introduced a lot of things and you will notice the common condiments/ ingredients in preparing Balinese food is chilli, garlic and onion! And most of the dishes consists of lime juice too! It was great fun and great food!
Here's what I've learnt: Fish Curry, Shredded Spiced Beef, Chicken Satay, Fern Lawar, Sweet Corn Patties, Fragrant Yellow Rice, Fried Rice, Fruit in Coconut Milk and Fried Banana!
Hard work when you got to grind the ingredients manually... The satay and shredded beef are my favourite!! Especially the peanut sauce... Yum!

Most Indonesian food we had during our all trip so far. Don't foret to bring your camera, so you can remember all the detailed steps for your next time cooking balinese food.
Kuta
Probably the most loud, garish and cheerful getaway in Indonesia, where there are beaches filled with people looking for wild partying, shopping or eating. The fast pace of life with the constant hustle and bustle of its crammed roads and hot-spots, keeps the city going. Although this is usually the first place many visitors hit in Bali, this region is not for everyone. Kuta has small narrow lanes crammed with cheap cafes, surf shops, motorbikes and a number of T-shirt vendors and offerings of 'massage'. But the crowds prove that Kuta popularity among certain sections of tourists will continue to grow.
- One of Indonesia's premier beach destinations
- Wild parties
- Shopping Paradise
- Foodie Paradise
- One of the highest traveler densities in Asia
- Top surfing destination
- Well known traditional Massage and Spa centres
