Coron Island is mostly known because of the Japanese Ships which sunk during World War II. The bewitching aquatic views from the sunken ships is the reasons it listed in Forbes Traveler Magazine's top-10 best scuba diving sites in the world. The many reef dive sites and Gunther's Cave also promote scuba diving. Natural mangroves are abundant and they leave magnificent kayak paddling trails. Barracuda and Kayangan lakes are both beautiful lakes that encourage snorkeling. You can take a boat from San Jose or a van from the airport to get to Coron town. Tricycles are everywhere. Also people can rent motorcycles and vans to get around. Accommodation is available mainly in Coron City.
