Getting to Macau
Macau! A vibrant city! While its largest industry is Gambling, the many historical museums and sights have got it the title of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While there are humongous malls where you can shop at numerous branded stores, you can also visit the many Chinese and Portuguese restaurants and indulge in the delicacies. While you can let you hair down and enjoy the exciting nightlife, you can also splurge some money and crash at a 5 star hotel. You dream of it and there it is in Macau! One can get to Macau easily from Mainland China or Honk Kong by either taking a flight or a ferry. To not miss out on any sight, it is recommended that the tourists walk. But there are other modes of transportation too like the bus, shuttle bus, scooter and taxis. There is budget accommodation as well as 5 star accommodation.

Why Visit ?
Ruins of St Paul: One of the most visited tourist attractions in Macau. It was built in the 17th century and what remains now is the aftermath of a fire in 1835. It is full of statues, portals and engravings that illiterate the Passion of Christ and the lives of the saints.

There are a lot of other sights to visit like Venetian Macau, City of Dreams, Kun Iam Statue, Senado Square and Macau Fisherman?s Wharf. The architecture of each is unique and sensational.

Macau Tower: Rising 338 meters above the city, it is the 10th highest tower in the world and the 8th tallest in Asia.
Gambling: Being Macau's biggest industry, people swarm in from Mainland China to test their luck. So you could either visit casinos or go watch a Greyhound race. In Greyhound racing, people bet on dogs instead of horses.

Adventure activities
  • Bungy jumping from the Macau Tower.
  • Swimming in the beaches or public swimming pools.
  • The best way to cover all sights in Macau is to be part of the Macasu Heritage Walk.

Vida Rica at Mandarin Oriental: Service is beyond expectations and serves some of the best food as well. The steaks are recommended.

Belcanco: An international buffet focusing on Asian delicacies. Hospitable service. That coupled with an amazing array of deserts make this a must visit.

To buy from local vendors there wouldn't be a better place than Three Lamps District.

The Grand Canal Shoppes: Every shopaholic's dream. About 600 branded stores.
The products available are as many as the brands. From cosmetics, clothes, footwear, electronic gadgets and edibles, it is all available here.

Senado Square Area: If you are looking for fashionable clothes, this is the best place. It is a very busy street and there is a lot more you could do like getting a quick bite.
Languages Spoken: Portuguese and Chinese

Currency: Macanese pataca

Climate: Spring-March to May. Summer-June to August. Autumn-September to November. Winter-December to February. The highest temperature goes upto 28.6 °C and the lowest is 14.5 °C on an average.
