Blackpool is on the Irish Sea, between the Ribble and Wyre estuaries. It is a brilliant attraction for families, particularly with the kids. There are plenty of exciting ways to keep your whole family occupied along Blackpool's picture-perfect beaches. The North Pier is a wonderful starting point for exploring the region's coastline. With plenty of space for sandcastles, sunbathing and family games, one will never be short of things to do.
One of the landmarks here is the much loved Blackpool Pleasure Beach, an old-school amusement park with vintage wooden roller coasters and family rides. In addition to its opportunities for some family fun, football enthusiasts can also go watch the Blackpool FC play. It's certainly a break from the norm of family picnics but there is nothing quite like it.
