You can hire a guide, enjoy the wine while driving through scenic route.
Barossa's food and restaurants are evolving according to the seasons and the regions. 

Casa Carboni: You can take an Italian cooking class and have fun cooking and eating. This restaurant is high recommended to anyone visiting Barossa Valley.

Hentley Farm Restaurant: One of the best restaurants in Barossa Valley. The food is incredible and outstanding and there can be nothing to dislike. The wine served goes amazingly with the food and you can sample different wines too.
In Barossa Valley, you get to take your pick from clothing, jewelry, art galleries and antiques, florists and home and body products. 
From antiques to fashion and tasty shopping, you'll find it all.
