Balrampur House Hotel

Balrampur House was the summer Palace of the Royal Family of Balrampur since the 1880's. It was known as Ivy Park Palace till 1932 when the old single story palace was demolished to recreate a modern structure by the famous European Architect, Monsieur Mortimere in the style of a French Chateaux.

It is second only to the Government House with its sprawling gardens landscaped by manually chiselling out the hillside to create perfect flat lands. With Cheena Peak as a back drop, it is amongst the most beautiful and imposing properties in Nainital. The present Maharaja converted the Palace into a Heritage Hotel in 1995.

Balrampur House has tastefully appointed rooms,each with a remarkable view of the sprawling garden.

Room types
Deluxe rooms: These rooms were the guestrooms during the raj days in which private guests and relatives of the royal family were housed.Some of the furniture used in these rooms are antiques.

Superior Deluxe: These massive rooms were used as bedrooms and drawing rooms by the Maharaja & Maharani, which have now been converted into rooms for the guests and have all modern amenities. The rooms also have a fireplace

Dining
The dining room serves Indian and continental cuisine. The gowns decorated as wall hangings are genuine Kashmiri Jamewars.
