Tiger Show While not sighting Tigers by vehicle, the National Park offers its visitors the chance of seeing the tigers by elephant back, known as the tiger show, an additional activity for tourists for seeing a tiger-sitting-sleeping-walking.
HidesHides are at different locations inside the park placed in strategic wildlife areas. The visitors are allowed to stay inside the hide for 3 hours between 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and later need to touch down to the entrance gate as per formalities to continue on the evening safari.
Full Day Elephant Safari (Hiring of Elephant
is always and only for full day )
Elephant Safari is for 3 hours in the morning
and 3 hours in the evening, maximum numbers of
guests allowed are three accompanied by a forest
guard.
Statue of Lord VishnuRemarkable sculptures of Vishnu avatars and other Hindu monuments of uncertain origin and antiquity can be found here. At the foot of the hill, before the short climb to the main gate is this thirty-odd- feet-long reclining Vishnu statue, at the foot of which a small waterfall trickles down from one of the twelve naturally-occurring ponds inside the fort.
Wildlife viewing - Game viewingTwo game drives into the National Park each day. You enter the park by the nearby quite Gori or Tala Gate. You are escorted by local naturalist guides and drivers who know the forest intimately.
Initially they will look for signs of Tiger movement,
pugmarks and listen for the alarm calls of
Langur monkeys, Chital and Sambar Deer. If the
elephant teams have successfully tracked Tigers then you will leave the jeep and venture deep into
the forest by elephant, to gain fantastic close
views of Tigers. Back in the jeeps you can continue the game drive before returning to the lodge
for breakfast.
The MohiniThere is a small tribal shop with all hand made and excellent items to serve as souvenirs. A place you must visit to see the selection and what ever you buy contributes to the tribal staff and profit goes to them as family welfare.
