Strahan, a small town nestled between the waters of Macquarie Harbour and the rainforest, has faultless natural assets. It houses the World Heritage listed Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park which is also a part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. You can go on boating cruises and guided tours to explore the little town to the fullest. The food scene is great too and you have just a few but great restaurants. Shopping for souvenirs and gifts are enjoyable and you can find a lot to buy. Very close to Strahan is Queenstown which has numerous sights of its own like Lake Burbury, Montezuma Falls and Iron Blow.
