The closest beach getaway from Melbourne city would be Phillip Island where the white sand beaches are a major attraction for a large number of tourists. It is a 2 hour flight from Melbourne and you can enjoy some solitude at the beaches. Travel for a little longer and you reach the beach-side town with numerous spectacular beaches! Fiji is an option if you wouldn't mind a long flight! All in all, beaches are plenty around Melbourne and you're sure to be spoiled for choice!
