Magnolia offers some of the most spacious and well furnished suites and villas available. Guests have a choice of two types of accommodation.

Plantation Cottage
Each plantation cottage is part of a two suite plantation style villa with a spectacular view of the coffee estate. Each suite is nearly 1000 sq ft in size, furnished with a king-sized bed and a spacious entertainment room with comfortable seating and a luxurious bath.

Villa Royale Magnolia
Villa Royale Magnolia is an expansive five thousand square feet plantation bungalow and the most exclusive accommodation at Magnolia Resort. Built in traditional south Indian style, Villa Royale Magnolia has four large bedrooms, three bathrooms, dining and living areas and a library, designed to provide guests with a true plantation living experience. Guests will enjoy the quiet and serenity on a secluded hillside, ambiance inside and views of coffee plantations in and around Magnolia Estates and valleys and hills around the estate.

Cilantro: A multi cuisine restaurant offering North & South Indian fare, a special NW frontier kabab & biryani cuisine, delicacies from Coorg and Continental selection.

Magnolia Conferencing Center (MCC)
Magnolia is an excellent venue for corporate events such as Board Meetings, Executive retreats and offsites and team-building activities. Set amidst nature and in a pristine environment, Magnolia offers a great opportunity to business professionals to hold these activities in a relaxed manner. The staff at Magnolia is at hand to help you host these events smoothly and successfully.

At Magnolia
Plantation Walk: Magnolia organizes nature walks around the plantation every morning and evening. Guests will be taken through a guided tour of the Magnolia Coffee plantation, lakes and various viewpoints with sweeping views of Arji Hills and surrounding valleys.

Library and Television rooms: At the end of a day spent at the coffee plantation or outdoors in physical activities or sightseeing, guests can relax and unwind, reading books and magazines or watching their favorite show.

Indoor and Outdoor Sports: The Club offers a variety of Board games for children and adults alike. Guests can also enjoy games like table tennis, shuttle badminton, tennikoit, carrom etc.

Entertainment Events: Magnolia organizes cultural activities and various entertainment events such as Kalaripayattu - the famous art of sword fighting from Kerala, local Coorgi dances, bonfires.

Outdoor activities
Athletic Indulgences: Find out about the local hiking, walking, running trails and cycling tracks. The Club is also equipped with cycles for adults and children alike.

Mt. Perumbadi Hike: Magnolia organizes a hike to the top of Mt. Perumbadi, located right at the edge of resort. Guests who enjoy light mountaineering and hiking can enjoy this 45 minute climb and upon reaching the top, be swept away by miles and miles of breathtaking views of the Western Ghats of Kerala. To make this memorable, the staff can organize picnic lunches so that guests can spend some time atop Mt. Perumbadi before descending back to the resort.

Walk to Lake Perumbadi: This large, pristine lake spanning over 20 acres is a mere 10 minute walk from Magnolia. Beautiful throughout the day, the lake is a nature lover's delight being the haunt of scores of birds that come there early in the morning.

Magnolia arranges sightseeing trips to various historic and nature spots around Coorg. Coorg is a sightseer's dream. It boasts of enormous natural beauty comprising of green coffee estates, mountains, rivers and wildlife sanctuaries. Magnolia's location affords guests an opportunity to visit these beautiful places on day trips with a 90 minute one-way journey in most cases. The following is a list of the main sightseeing attractions in Coorg.

Abbey Falls
Coorg boasts of some scenic and exotic hill stations that are frequented by those seeking the green and serene. One such location would be the beautiful Abbey falls.

Bhagamandala
When the river Cauvery flows downhill, it is joined by two more tributaries - Kanake and Sujyoti. The spot where all three converge (the Cauvery, the Kanika and the Sujyothi) is called Bhagamandala. The temple here, built in Kerala style, has smaller shrines dedicated to various gods. It is about 40 kms from Madikeri or 90 minutes from Magnolia.

Dubare
This is mainly an elephant capturing and training camp of the Forest Department, at the edge of Dubare forest, on the bank of river Kaveri, on the Kushalnagar - Siddapur road. The largest land animal is captured here with the help of tamed elephants and local tribals - the Kurbas - and is held captive for upto 6 months in large teak wood cages.

Iruppu Falls
The river descends perpendicularly into a great cataract known as the Iruppu Falls. This place is believed to possess the power to cleanse one's sins and is visited by thousands of devotees from far and near on Shivaratri day.

Nagarhole and Wayanad National Parks
Nagarhole and Wayanad are twin wildlife parks in Karnataka and Kerala respectively. The parks are about 90 minutes from Magnolia and they arrange for day trips there. Stretching over hundreds of square kilometers, these reserve forests are home to Tigers, Panthers, Leopards, Elephants, Deer of various sub-species, birds, Langoor and other monkeys. The park has rich forest cover, small streams, valleys, and waterfalls.

Namdroling Tibeten Monastery at Bylakuppe
Bylakuppe is the Tibetan resettlement, location of "Lugsum Samdupling" (established in 1961) and "Dickyi Larsoe" (established in 1969), in the west of Mysore district. The Tibetan diaspora make up a population of about 40,000. It consists of a number of small camps/agricultural settlements close to each other, and has a number of monasteries, nunneries and temples in all the major Tibetan Buddhist traditions. The spectacular Golden Temple is a major tourist spot in the area.

Nisargadhama
Cauvery Nisargadhama is situated about 36 kms from Madikeri or about 90 minutes from Magnolia. This is an ideal picnic spot. It is an island in the middle of the river connected by a rope bridge.

Omkareshwara Temple
Omkareshwara temple was built by Lingarajendra in 1820. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located in Madikeri town. The temple has both Islamic and Gothic style of architecture. There is a tank in front of the temple with tons of fishes in it and a footpath leading to a small Mantap. The temple has four minarets around it and a dome in the center (similar to a Muslim Masjid).

Raja's Seat
According to legend, the kings of Kodagu spent their evenings here. But what's unforgettable about Raja's seat is the spectacular sunset that one can enjoy from here.

Magnolia is located in Arji Hills, near Perumbadi Checkpost, Virajpet. To reach Magnolia Estate, guests will first have to reach Virajpet. From Virajpet, guests have to take the Virajpet- Kannur (Kerala) highway. Directions for both these legs are as follows:

Directions from Mysore to Virajpet (106km)

• Take Mysore-Coorg highway or State Highway 88B towards Madikeri.
• Reach the town of Hunsur, which is about 50km from Mysore.
• Approximately 3 km after Hunsur, take a Left on Hunsur-Gonikoppal road or State Highway 90.Gonikoppal is about 40 km from this turn.
  Note: If you start seeing signs for Kushalnagar or Madikeri-you have missed the turn.
• From Gonikoppal continue to Virajpet which is a distance of about 15 km.

Directions from Virajpet to Magnolia Estates at Perumbadi (5km)

• Ask any local person in Virajpet for Perumbadi road or Kerala Highway (St Highway 88-B).
• Drive 8km on this road and you will find Magnolia Estates on the main road on the left hand side.
  Note: If you reach Perumbadi police check-post, you have missed Magnolia Estates by 200 meters.
