Why Visit ?
Apart from winter sports, the town is also known for it's sight-seeing trips as well mountain-biking. Both of these activities give you a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains, valleys and ridges. The sight-seeing is divided into two stages with each of these stages designating a particular elevation level. It's up to you to choose whether you want to go on to the second stage, which is a really high altitude travel or take the return trip from the first stage.

Gulmarg is probably the best destination for winter sport in the country. Some of the best outdoor activities here include:

Bakshi's Green Punjhabi Dhaba: A wonderful family dhaba which serves delicious punjabi and other North Indian delicacies at a fair price. One of the most highly visited in town.

Global Hotel/Restaurant : Located nearby the bus station , the restaurant is the best place to go if you are craving some fine Western and Continental cuisine at a fair price.

Climate: Summers are known to be the best time of the year of tourism with days having pleasant temperatures and nights getting really cold. Winters are known to be freezing with the mercury dipping way low below freezing point.
