Getting to Wellington
Nestled between a sparkling harbor and rolling green hills is Wellington, New Zealand's capital. Along with being NZ's constitutional and cultural capital, it is also known for its art, heritage and native beauty. To learn about the art and culture, you can visit World of Wearable Arts (WOW),  Te Papa Tongarewa Museum and the Royal New Zealand Ballet. You can enjoy native flora by visiting the Wellington Botanic Gardens. If you are a movie buff, then you must visit the Weta Cave for that is where the movie, The Lord of the Rings, came to life. Wellington is also known for gourmet food and wine. It has many bars that serve the best NZ craft beers and that alone is enough to ensure an entertaining and raucous night.

Why Visit ?
Te Papa: One the best attractions in Wellington. A highly interactive museum where you'll find amazing collections of Maori artifacts and the museum's own colourful marae, natural history and environment exhibitions, Pacific and NZ history galleries, national art collection, and themed hands-on "discovery centres" for children.

Wellington Botanic Garden: This gorgeous garden is spread across 26 hectares of land. You'll find hidden entrances and fountains, playgrounds, sculptures, a duck pond, cafes and magical views of the city and more. You will also come across the award-winning Lady Norwood Rose Garden.
Cycling: You can explore the hills of Karori after hiring a cycle. Tracks are available for beginners and experts as well.
Hippopotamus Restaurant and Cocktail Bar: Located in the Museum Art Hotel, the restaurant offers beautiful views of the Wellington Harbor. You are also surrounded by original artworks that decorate the walls of the restaurant. The dishes are inspired by French gastronomy and the presentation and taste are both spectacular.

Logan Brown: Considered as "Wellingtons outstanding fine dining without pretension". The menu features  innovative and mouth-watering dishes that are prepared with seasonal, organic and local ingredients. It is located in a historic listed building.
Shopping in Wellington means bags full of branded clothes, gifts, antiques, vintages and second-hand items.

To admire and buy some art you can head to NZ Academy of Fine Arts, City Gallery and Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa to name a few.

For the perfect gift for the loved ones back home, you can go to Iko Iko, Ora Gallery, T2, Citta Design Store and many more.

There are different stores for your different needs.
Languages Spoken: English, New Zealand Sign Language and Maori.

Currency: New Zealand dollar

Climate: Wellington experiences a mild and temperate marine climate. It can get windy too. The best time to visit the city is anytime from October to April.

Connectivity: Wellington surprisingly has bad network coverage.
