Ice Shivling: About 45 min walk from resort is a temple of Hindu diety lord Shiva called Anjani Mahadeva. In winters a snow Shivling is formed which is about 50 ft in height. In summers also the trek to this temple is fabulous.
Manali Sightseeing:
Hadimba Temple: It has four-tiered Pagoda shaped roof and the doorway is carved with legendary figures and symbols. This temple located amidst wooden forest of deodar is about 2.5 kms. from the tourist office. It is a pleasant experience to stroll in the temple complex which was built in 1533 A.D. A large festival is held here in May.
Manu Temple: 3 kms. from the main bazar in old Manali lies the temple of MANU RISHI. It is believed that this is the only temple of Manu in India
Tibetan Monasteries: There are 3 newly constructed colorful monasteries, where visitors can buy carpets and other Tibetan handicrafts.
Vashist Hot Water Springs and Temple: Vashist, a small village located on the left bank of river Beas towards Rohtang pass is worth a visit. It is renowned for its hot springs and temples. Nearby is the pyramidal stone temple dedicated to Vashist Muni.
Nehru Kund: 5 kms. on National Highway to Leh,a natural spring of cold clear water named after Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, who used to drink water from this spring during his stay in Manali.
Manali Sanctuary: The Manali sanctuary starts from behind the town square and goes up in the mountains behind Manali. There is a biodiversity trail for the visitors, which showcases all the flora and fauna.
Naggar Sightseeing:
Jagatsukh: 6 kms. from Manali located on the left bank on Beas on the road to Naggar. The place is famous for very old temples of Lord Shiva and Sandhya Gayatri in Shikhara style.
Rohriech Art Gallery: The paintings of the famous Russian artist are exhibited here.
Naggar Castle: The old capital of Kullu, it gives a captivating view of the upper Kullu valley.
Arjun Gufa(Cave): 4kms. from Manali towards Naggar, the cave is situated near Prini village 1km. above the road where Arjun had meditated.
Rohtang Pass sightseeing:
Rohtang pass: Rohtang pass is 51kms. from Manali on highway to Keylong/Leh. It offers a panorama and spectacular mountain view. The pass is open from June to October each year although trekkers can cross it earlier.
Marhi: Picturesque point on the way to the Rohtang pass.
Rahala Water Falls: 16 kms. on way to Rohtang pass. If one goes to Marhi on foot from Kothi from the old road, the sight of the falls is fascinating.
Manikaran: This lies in the Parvati Valley of Kullu District. It is around 70 Kms from Manali via Kullu town. It is famous for its Shiva Temple and Gurudwara and also for its hot water springs.
Solang Nullah: 14 km north-west of Manali in the Solang Valley, this place offers Himachal Pradesh's best ski slopes. A 300 m ski lift is operated by the Mountaineering and Allied Sports Institute. February is best month to ski.
Kothi: It is a pretty little village, 12 km from Manali on the Keylong road. There are very fine views from Kothi, and the Beas river flows through a very deep and narrow gorge at this point.
Gulaba Camp: 20 km from Manali. This beautiful place is famous for sightseeing, picnic and photography.
Rani Nala: 46 km from Manali. It is the glacier point where snow is seen throughout the year.
Beas Kund: It is the source of river Beas, at the Rohtang pass and is easily accessible. The great sage, Vyas performed `Tapa' here during the Mahabharat times.
