A handsome three-stored structure, Rewa Retreat has remained true to the spirit of the original bungalow in its form and ambiance. Borrowing from traditional construction methods and using local material with a dash of today's modernity, it blends past and present in perfect harmony. The exterior is clad in slate and red sandstone, while the upper floors are relieved by a tracery of balconies and railings. It is a paradise for trekkers and lets you unwind in the foothills of Himalayas.

The rooms are all well equipped with satellite television, Wi- Fi broadband internet access, EPBX, modular electric and sanitary fittings. The rooms are appointed with laminated wooden floors, hand-knotted rugs, teak furniture, and architecture that reflects the colonial heritage of the property and respect for the traditional skills of local artisans and folk artists.

Every room is equipped with a fireplace and has spacious bathrooms with bathtubs and quality fittings. All rooms have King-sized beds with pocket spring mattresses to that ensure guests derive maximum comfort.

Dining Room
Rewa Retreat serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine. A blend of various regional cuisines of the country as well as Continental and Oriental dishes are served. They focus on offering fresh, fragrant, lightly-spiced healthy food that is lovingly prepared and served. The water for drinking, cooking and irrigation is drawn from their own deep-bore well.  The wood paneling, textured walls and antique teak furniture of the dining room add to its erst-while elegance and charm.

Guests are offered to make use of a quaint reading room which is equipped with books of varied types, that excite all temperaments.

Art Gallery
The Retreat presents a vivid insight into the folk art of Kumaon, called the "aiparn". These paintings by loyal artists grace the walls. They can be made available on a prior order.

Bhowali can be called a trekker's paradise. Numerous trek routes that are famous from ancient times criss-cross through this sleepy town and enable people to fulfill their trekking urges to the fullest. One of the famous trekking routes is the Almora - Kathgodam trek. For this route the trekker must be physically fit he/she might have to withstand vagaries of weather and high altitude mountain sickness. The trek passes through low areas and high ridges that cause extreme temperature variations.

Located at an altitude of 1750 meters, Bhowali is a picturesque 20-minute drive over a 11 km distance through forest engulfed hills of Nainital, in the newly formed state of Uttarakhand. You could choose to get to Bhowali by Air, Road or Train
By Air
Flights from Delhi  to Pantnagar  are available. The flight approximately takes 50 minutes. The Pantnagar airport is 90 minutes from the Retreat. With a prior request,  pick up can be arranged from the airport.

By Road
Bhowali is located at a distance of 11 Kms from Nainital, on the Kathgodam- Almora / Ranikhet highway and is the gateway into the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Bhowali is connected by road from Delhi (310 Kms). The drive from Delhi to Bhowali takes approximately 7 hours.

By Rail
Express Trains (Ranikhet Express, Sampark Kranti Express) run on a daily basis from the Old Delhi Railway Station to Kathgodam, the last railhead in the Kumaon hills. From Kathgodam, Bhowali is approximately 30km away and with a prior notice, a taxi pick up at the Kathgodam railway station may be arranged.
