First of all, the tour guide who hiked with me was amazing! He was super helpful and caring during the hike. Description on the website is not true at all, it is extremely difficult and dangerous, definitely not suitable for seniors and children. I am 26, who hits the gym and yoga studio 4-5 times weekly, very healthy and clean eater, considered active and fit but I only made it to point 4 out of 6 points in total, in 4 hours. The paths were super steep and the small stones were everywhere, which increased the difficulty of the hike.
Yogyakarta
Yogyakarta is the soul of Java culture and lifestyle that even today portrays the distinctive local flavor, despite being hit by the tides of modernism. This is where the Javanese language was defined and still exists at its purest. Being Java's premier tourist city with countless hotels, restaurants and attractions, it is also an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions, such as Indonesia's most important archaeological sites, Borobudur and Prambanan. Yogyakarta is easily accessible by bus and local transport is convenient and abundant as well. Luxury accommodation is a rarity but budget and mid-range accommodations are abundant.
- Heart and soul of Javanese culture
- Houses well-known Javanese monuments
- Has many museums detailing Javanese culture and lifestyle
- Adventure sports destination
- Ideal for relaxed and leisurely trips
