Previously the abode of Sridev and his family, the Woodway home is located about 20 kilometers from chickmagalur town and quite easily accessible through the well connected roads. The architecture of the place will put you at ease the moment you enter the gates, with it's strange familiar yet exclusive feeling. The house blends very well with the plantations around, and has all right ingredients to fully utilize the natural surroundings as a visual treat. The rooms are very comfortable with most of them having a fireplace and graceful wooden floorings, to further the elegant Indo/European architecture. The porch has a beautiful garden, with the view of the mountains and hammocks by the trees tempting you lay down lazily all day. It is as good a place as any I have seen for a bonfire by the night with friends and family, enjoying the chilly mountain breeze and a conversation that cannot get a better setting for making beautiful memories.

All this is augmented by the most gracious hospitality of the hosts, Sridev and Sushmitha who never miss an opportunity to socialize with the guests. Add to this the warmth of Santhosh Subramanya and the likes who will do everything they can to make your stay special. The food is a delicious journey of the flavors of chikmagalur which to the initiated can never go wrong. You can ask for the local specialties which will certainly tingle your taste buds for a long time. And not to forget the home grown coffee, which quite simply is divine. There are a lot of activities that can be done around this place like, plantation tours,trekking,or visiting the famous wildlife parks or mountains which are close by. All in all an experience you do not want to miss.And when that unfortunate moment arrives when you have to head back from this place be sure to look at the visitors book, with most of them going poetic in praise.
