Villa Christophe, a recently restored 19th century Villa, is a charming boutique guesthouse located in the heart of the French Quarter of Pondicherry, India. Laundry/ironing     
Villa Christophe arranges a washing machine and a drier in the kitchen.They will gladly wash your clothes and dry them.Their staff will also iron them for you.The Rates are Rs. 200 per load of wash and dry. Please ask for ironing rates before giving your clothes.
    
Internet & Wifi     
The Guesthouse is equipped with a 2 MBPS DSL Internet connection and a Wifi. All Guests are welcome to use this at no additional cost.

Home Office     
The guesthouse is also equipped with a desktop computer and a Black & White, multi-utility Printer that you can use for Printing, Photocopying & Scanning. You can ask for rates when you want to use these.

Airport Pick-up
Villa Christophe can arrange to have you picked up from Chennai Airport for an additional cost. The Cost for pick up is Rs. 4,000 in an air-conditioned van with lots of space for you and your luggage. Similarly, they can also arrange to have you dropped to the airport.
   
Cycle/Scooter/Car Hire
Villa Christophe gladly helps you in arranging any ground transportation needs which you may have. Going around the town in a bicycle would give you an idyllic taste of days gone by. If you are ready to brave the traffic,a scooter is quite sufficient for covering most areas around/outside the town. A chauffer-driven car can be available to you for a single journey or for the entire day or an excursion trip across South India.
    
Local mobile     
Villa Christophe can help you obtain a local mobile phone connection for your existing GSM handsets and can also arrange a mobile phone on rental basis.Some forms will be required to be filled-up on your arrival and the connection would be activated in 2 hrs max. The connection would be on a pay-as-you-go basis.
    
Banks, ATM & Foreign Exchange
There are several Bureau de Change near the Guesthouse or in the Market area. Foreign Currency can be changed at these places. If you want they could also arrange for one of these Bureaus to come to the Guesthouse. Citibank and State Bank of India are just round the corner with 24hr ATMs.

Activities like Rickshaw Safari or Heritage Walks can also be arranged.

By Air
Nearest Airport is in Chennai(Madras). The Anna International & Kamaraj Domestic Airports.Airport code is MAA. It is about 150kms away and is 2.5 hours by car.

By Rail
Pondicherry has a Railway Station which is about 1.5 kms away. Daily Trains to Chennai and once a week train to Bangalore is available. There is Shuttle Train Service to Villupuram Junction from where one can catch trains to many other destinations cross India including Kerala and Calcutta.

By Bus
The most frequently used means of transport to get to Pondicherry. Pondicherry has a bustling Bus Stand with good bus services to most major towns in South India. Buses to Chennai could be running every 30 minutes.There may be about a dozen bus services a day to Bangalore. Buses also run to Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Cochin, Calicut and Trivandrum and all major airport-towns of South India.

By Car
You can Hire a Car at Chennai Airport or in the Town or in any town you may be in, and ask the driver to drive you to Pondicherry. The Villa is about 45 kms away from National Highway 45 also known as the Grand Southern Trunk Road. Alternatively, you can use the East Coast Road,a beautiful scenic road along the coast but without a divider separating traffic in both directions.
