Getting to Sunderbans
One of the most well known Tiger reserves in the country. Commissioned as a wildlife sanctuary in 1977 and declared a national park in 1984 , the park is home to a wide range of species most famous of which is the legendary Royal Bengal Tiger which is the flag symbol of Indian Wildlife. The park is one of the largest in the country ,known to stretch over a vast area close to 4262 sq km. The reserve is covered by a thick and impenetrable mangrove forest cover and is considered to have high levels of Bio-diversity. Rich with flora and fauna as well as amazing avifauna , the reserve is one of the most balanced and frequently visited in the country.
