A place where the world weary traveller can feel at home. Sidz Cottage is owned by Sushil and Shilpa Jadhav who have been in Alibaug for over 15 years. Enchanted by the natural beauty of Alibag and the peaceful surroundings they decided to develop this small corner of the land in the village of Nagaon 6 kilometres from Alibaug.

There are three kinds of accommodation available.

Sidz cottages are spacious modern abodes with gardens and lawns. All have the below listed facilities:

A proud land so rich in history and nature's bounty is bound to have a cuisine that is as glorious and exciting. Konkan food has slowly been gaining in popularity with specialty restaurants catering to a devoted following for this distinct cuisine. Watch your food repertoire undergo a flavoursome sea changewith the sourness of kokum and the aroma of triphal. Sip Solkadhi for the soul. Try the crisp Bombil fry, Prawn sukkha or the Pomfret fry. There is enough fare for vegetarians also with dishes like Stuffed Brinjals (Bharli Vangi) and Ladies finger masala (Bhendi Masala) or the Besan Tikha (Jhunka bhakar).

Alibag town is just 108 kilometres from Mumbai (2 hours drive) and 138 km from Pune (3 hours drive)

By Bus:
State transport buses reaching Alibag are aplenty. Some 35-40 buses ply to and from Mumbai. Alibag is also linked by state transport bus to destinations like Thane, Pune, Borivali, Nasik, Kolhapur, Miraj, Jalgaon, Sholapur etc. The state transport bus depot provides fairly efficient, in-time bus services.

By Ferry:
You can also reach Alibag by Sea. Ferry wharf at 'Bhaucha Dhakka' in Mumbai is where launch service to Revas port (23 km from Alibag) is available from 06.00A.M to 06.00P.M. The journey takes 1 % hours. The frequency is almost every hour, both ways. The timetable changes slightly to suit high tide and low ebb timings, though there is advance announcement of timetable for the coming week. Reservation facility is also available. The journey is fairly comfortable and is a unique experience. Each launch carries 100-125 passengers. Tea, cold drinks, snacks are provided on board and also film music is played on the cassette player !

How To Reach:
The moment you reach alibag, if you are travelling by your own vehicle, you need not enter the main ALIBAG city and head straight towards Murud/Revdanda road (Anyone can direct you to the road which is a left from the main entrance road to alibag).

If you are travelling by a bus (ST), you will be getting down at the main ALIBAG ST STAND. From here you can hire a GARUDA AUTORICKSHAW (It can accommodate upto 10 ppl) or if a small family can hire a simple autorickshaw and ask them to take you to NAGAON HIGH SCHOOL.

If you are travelling by ST from mumbai/pune which ends at Murud, you will need to get down at the NAGAON HIGH SCHOOL STOP.
