The Pamba Heritage Villa is a 109 year old wooden mansion which has been handed over to the succeeding generations by the ancestors of the famous Kanjooparambil family. Situated on the banks of the holy river Pamba, it has now been transformed into a beautiful, spacious and well ventilated cozy home stay that is furnished with all amenities, Thus Pamba Heritage Villa is a perfect blend of old world charm and modern comforts.

All rooms are spacious and are waterfront. The gentle breeze
from the riverside keeps the rooms refreshing and cool. They have rooms that are exclusively designed to ensure comfort and privacy.The netted windows provide
protection from mosquitoes and other insects. The additional net provided along
with the coat ensures total protection from mosquitoes.The windows and doors
open to the paddy fields, the river and the garden allowing excellent
ventilation and enchanting views from within the rooms. All rooms are well
furnished with two large single beds, wardrobe, writing table and chair and a slmall
verenda that doubles as a front sit out.
The floor is finished in 'thara odu' (mud tiles) which have healing as well as preventive power on 'arthritis'. The terra cotta tiled roof
and the wooden attic along with the wooden walls provide effective cooling.
At Pamba heritage everything is traditional except for the ultra-modern attached toilet and bathroom. Enjoy the novel experience of bathing in the 'open', but with the assurance of complete privacy. Bathing in their specially designed bathroom offers the pleasure of not just cooling freshness but also an opportunity to watch the birds flying in flocks or the night sky with its infinite stars.
Reaching the villa is an extraordinary experience within itself - a boat ride through the meandering backwaters with lush paddy fields and coconut groves on either side.

If you prefer to be outdoors, you could get get an insight into the Kerala way of life - see the traditional paddy harvesting, go on a fishing trip and interact with the local fishermen, watch toddy (it is the fermented sap of the coconut tree) tapping and taste it, or simply stroll around the plantain and coconut groves, local landmarks, temples and markets. Ayurveda and Kerala are synonymous , therefore,on special requests, you could get a relaxing massage.
The Pamba Heritage Villa is located amidst a wide array of fruits trees, flowering and medicinal plants. The entire landscape is sandwiched between the Pamba river and emerald carpeted paddy fields. The two acres of this property has mainly coconut and banana plantations.
There are several other trees such as the jack fruit tree top to bottom heavy with fruits, lemon plant, cocoa, coffee plants, sapota tree, mulberry plant, pomegranate, pepper wine and a whole lot of local herbs and medicinal plants. Various vegetables for home use as well.
Tender coconut water is another special thing to taste. At Pamba Heritage there is a pond with a variety of fish. The guests are allowed to fish in this pond.The guests are welcome to enter the kitchen and get dishes cooked according to their taste.
