Day trips for sightseeing to neighboring places (Jeep hire)Bababudangiri cave: Residence of the sufi mystic, Hazrat Dada Hayat Mir Khalander who travelled back from Arabia with 7 beans taped to his belly. This gave rise to the first Coffee Plantations in India in 1650. Revered as 'Baba Budan' for his healing powers, the mountain ranges that he made his home came to be named after him. India now grows approx.4% of the world coffee - Rs 1200/-, 20kms/1 Hr.drive;
Bababudangiri cave + Mulangiri Peak: Highest peak in Karnataka - 6317 feet above sea level ; 300 stone steps lead to the top of the mountain and the shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Once every 14 years a wild mountain flower ' Corvia ' blossoms and the hills around are clothed in bright purple- Rs 1500/- 50Kms/3Hrs drive;
Kemmangundi(4702 feet): Once the favourite destination of the Mysore Maharaja, Krishnarajajendra Wodeyar - said to be one of the most spectacular mountain passes in the country; Trekking paths from here take you to down to Kalhatti Falls where water gushes down a drop of 122m over the top of a temple built into a gap between the rocks; Hebbe Falls-Dropping down from a height of 168m, from where condemned prisoners were pushed to their death - Rs 1800-/-, 35Kms/2Hr drive;
Bhadra Game Santuary in Muthodi(rustic and unspolit game santuary): Hosts Gaur, Chital, elephants, sambar,wild bear and tiger - Rs 1200/-, 12Kms/1Hr (cost excludes entry fee).

- Day Trips - Kemmanagundi Peak & Hebbe Waterfalls , Bababudan Giri Cave , Mulayangiri Peak , Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, Belur/Halebid Temples , Chikmagalur Golf Course.
- Guests are advised to reach Chikmagalur by 5 pm in order to avoid any inconvenience as part of journey en route to Nature Nirvana is a ghat section. Also the breathtaking scenery from Chikmagalur is best visible in daylight.
- Car parking facility with security is available at the Chikmagalur office for those who do not wish to use their own vehicle from Chikmagalur Town to the plantation. (1hr.15mins drive- including 20 mins. mud road ). Jeep transfer if required is available to the plantation and back (Rs. 1400 per jeep, includes drop & pick up - 5/6 persons).
- Guests are requested to reach Nature Nirvana using the route maps. An escort if required is available from the Chikmagalur Office at an additional cost of Rs. 100 (advance notice required)
- During the months of December and January, Volleyball and Badminton will not be possible as the grounds are used for drying of coffee. Additional activities like coffee picking for guests can be arranged during these months.
- BSNL mobile phone coverage available in some areas of the plantation.
- Please carry light cotton clothing for the day, a set of warm clothing for the night and suitable walking shoes for outdoor activities.
