Overview
Set on the magnificent back waters of the Koyna River near Mahabaleshwar, this river camp is a fabulous back-to-nature experience. The Backwaters of the Koyna dam create one of the largest freshwater lakes in India. The beauty of this lake is compounded by the spectacular and virgin Koyna Wild Life Sanctuary. Sitting in the camp, you might even catch glimpses of the beautiful Great Indian Hornbill and many other chirpy birds.
The Stay
Set in a beautiful lake backdrop, this river camp has 20 luxury tents. The tents have attached toilets and showers with 24 hr running water. There is also a full service kitchen and dining area.
This resort offers the best flat water kayaking in the country. Water Scooters, motor boat rides, visits to the wild life sanctuary for spotting the bison and treks to the magnificent Vasota fort and Nageshwar Caves can also be undertaken. Fishing and angling in the Koyna river are also popular.
