The Kabbe Homestay lies nestled in the picturesque foothills of the Kabbe Hills, Somakundu and Thadiyandamolu.Unspoilt and spectacularly beautiful, the hills are truly alive with the sounds of nature. Breathtaking waterfalls crash down into the valley and the air is so pure and always fresh. Summer, monsoon or winter, this homestay enjoys a beautiful locale.

The home in Kabbe is located on a coffee estate - 50 acres of plantation land with coffee being the main produce besides spices such as cardamom and pepper. The Accommodation  is provided in three different rooms.

En-route to Kabbe Holidays is the Chelavara waterfalls. Once in Kabbe, the view and wilderness is breathtaking and one has to experience it to understand how untouched and uninhabited the place is.

Trekking
Kabbe is a trekker's paradise. From Kabbe Holidays, there are trails to Kabbe Hills, Somakundu, Thadiyandamolu hills, Nalaknad Palace and the nearby waterfalls. A trail also leads up to the Kerala border. On a clear day, one can view the distant Arabian Sea from Kabbe hills. Treks can be arranged on request.

Plantation tours
One can take a walk through the coffee and cardamom plantations.

Outdoor Activities
Water lovers can take a dip at the estate stream or the river below and also try a hand at angling. For those who love the quiet can indulge in bird watching around the vicinity.

Sight seeing
The Talacauvery, birthplace of the holy river Cauvery.

Padi Igutappa Temple
One of the most important temples in Coorg and closely connected with Coorg culture (at Kakkabbe, 10kms from Kabbe, a 20 min drive).

The Kabbe Viewpoint
The only point in Coorg with a panoramic view of Coorg on one side and Kerala on the other.

Madikeri (Mercara)
Raja's Seat, Omkareshwara temple, Abbey Falls, Madikeri Fort.

From Bangalore
From Bangalore, reach Virajpet (via Hunsur - Thithimathi - Gonicoppa)
Please note: Roughly 3 kms ahead of Hunsur, lies a fork (Y junction) in the road. Take the left road to get to Virajpet.

• From Virajpet, go to Kadanur. Here take a left turn leading to Cheyandane (via Kadanga &   Karada).
• At Chayandane, take a left turn to Chelavara village and drive 6km till you reach Kabbe Holidays.

Suggested travel mode
In addition to driving down, one could also take bus (Volvo) from Bangalore to Virajpet; then hire a cab froim Virajpet to get to Kabbe. Alternatively, a Taxi pick up can be arranged for on request, from any destination en-route (Bangalore/ Mysore/ Virajpet/ Madikere).
