After breakfast, go for sight-seeing around Ross Island. Ross Island was the capital of Andaman & Nicobar Islands prior to Independence when the British were still ruling. You can go for a Nature Walk, Smritika Museum - which consists of records of the lives of political prisoners, Commissioner?s Palace, British Officers Club, the church and other significant places from history. (Please note that Ross Island is closed on Wednesdays). After the tour of Ross Island, go for sight-seeing of Port Blair City. If you are interested in the heritage, history and culture of the place, you can visit the Fisheries Museum, Anthropological Museum about the tribes, and other Museums in the city and the Water Sports Complex. If you would like more of a sun-and-sand holiday, you can instead visit the North Island - a coral island north of Port Blair. This is the closest beach with snorkelling opportunities and coral reefs, so it can get crowded. Return to the hotel and retire for the day.
