 Just four and a half hours away from bustling Bangalore city, this picturesque little town captivates you with its charm. The soothing vistas of coffee plantations at The Hidden Valley and the fragrance of fresh coffee beans will linger in your memory long after you have left the holiday home behind.

The Hidden Valley offers you a number of activities. You can walk in and around the estates and if you are lucky, spot a few wild animals.  A guided tour of the coffee-growing process is quite an interesting experience. The sports enthusiast can enjoy a game of outdoor badminton, go on the trek to Devi Gudda or target shooting with an air rifle.

For those who just want to relax, sitting on the porch of the estate house, a good book and a hot pot of coffee is pure heaven. You could even unwind under the sky on the coracle in the mini lake.

The five comfortable bedrooms at The Hidden Valley are spacious, tastefully decorated and equipped with all the essentials. Four bedrooms are part of the main farm house; one bedroom has five single beds, the second room has a queen sized bed and the third and fourth have two single beds each. However, the house can accommodate upto 15 people easily as extra beds can be set up in at the night.

The TV in the living area has satellite programs and an attached DVD Player for those nights that you may want to watch the match you didn't want to miss or a movie. An additional room is situated just outside the main house, equipped with a television an independent sit-out.

The activities at The Hidden Valley will make your holiday fun-filled and relaxed at the same time. 30 acres of coffee estate surround you, making your experience with nature a unique and enjoyable one.

Boat Ride
You can enjoy a ride on the pedal boat, which can seat four people at a time, on the mini lake. They advise you to wear life jackets. If you choose, you could also wade around in the water with your life jackets on.

Rabbit Petting Pen
There are plenty of rabbits at The Hidden Valley. Time flies when you’re with these furry little creatures.

Guided Plantation Tour
A beautiful way to interact with nature at her best and learn more about a coffee plantation.

Outdoor Badminton
You may enjoy a game of badminton if the weather is conducive. There are rackets and shuttles provided for you.

Target Shooting
Air rifles are available for you to test your shooting skill. Whether you are young or old, air gun shooting is a great recreational pastime for you.

Indoor Games
Carom, Scrabble, Chess, Uno. There are also small bicycles and toys for children.

Bonfire
Sitting around roaring fire in the evening is the best way to spend an evening during your holiday. The bonfire and barbecue is done every Saturday or for a minimum group of four on a weekday. 

Barbeque
The most fun way to have dinner at The Hidden Valley. You can make or choose your own barbeque. The bonfire and barbecue is done every Saturday or for a minimum group of four on a weekday. 

Trekking
A popular activity while on your holiday is certainly trekking. You can visit Devi Gudda, a nearby hill for a 2.5km climb up to the peak. The panoramic view of the hill range around you at the end of your journey is worth the trek. You can opt for a drive to Devi Gudda in our 4x4 Mahindra Jeep. Charges applicable are Rs. 500/-

Jeep Ride
You can opt for an jeep drive to the nearby villages and plan visits to tourist destinations close by like Belur, Halebeedu,  Dharmasthala and Sringeri Mutt. Jeep Charges: Rs. 10 per kilometer

From Bangalore
Drive from Bangalore to Nelamangala, where you turn off NH 4 towards Hassan and Mangalore. From here to Hassan the road is a dream. Fast and smooth with exciting corners, minimal traffic and tantalising tar, this road will have enthusiastic drivers fighting to take to the wheel.

The last stage is from Hassan to The Hidden Valley via Belur. From Hassan onwards the roads narrow down a bit. You will have to slow down and keep an eye out for pedestrians and cattle. The fabulous scenery, however, more than compensates for the occasional intrusions, the road runs atop bund walls dividing a reservoir into two, green fields abound bordered in the distance by the Sahyadri mountains that seem to grow as you drive towards them.

Bangalore to The Hidden Valley is a short drive that should take you four-and-a-half hours, but one you would want to repeat.

By Bus

• The bus is to be boarded at Majestic Bus Stand, Bangalore
• Travel time is approximately 6 hours.
• The bus reaches the Chickmagalur bus stop, which is 20km away from The Hidden Valley. The charge for a pick up from the bus stop is Rs. 400/-.

By Train
The various trains from Bangalore include Hubli Express / Intercity Express, Chalukya Express, Hubli Passenger / SBC Fast Passenger, Rani Chennama. The train reaches Kadur Station, which is 60km away from The Hidden Valley. The charge for a pick up from the train station is Rs. 1200/-. Alternatively, you may take a bus from the Kadur bus stop to Chikmagalur bus stop. The charge for a pick up from the Chikmagalur bus stop is Rs. 400/-.

Pick up from home/office if residing within a radius of 5km from their office in Indiranagar and the meter starts at that point. Drop back to the same place. Travel time is approximately 5 hours.
