Green Gates Hotel is ideally located on a hillock in Kalpetta, the district headquarters of Wayanad. An exquisite hotel with all comforts befitting a luxury hotel. The Stay
Green Gates Hotel offers various types of accommodation to our nature & luxury loving patrons which meets the parameters of international standard.
There are 6 types of accommodation.
- A/c. Cottages: Each cottage has a large living cum bedroom + a front sit-out with a great view & a small room which leads to the bathroom that has the latest fixtures including a bath-tub facing either the manicured garden or the swimming pool.

- A/c. Luxury rooms: Luxury rooms are very spacious & have sit-outs. These rooms have wooden flooring & carry a/c. & mini bar / fridge.
- Deluxe rooms: These rooms are very cozy & can comfortably accommodate a family of 4. Half of these type of rooms have a front sit-out & the other half which do not have a sit-out are more spacious. Both these options are a win-win option.
- Standard Rooms: There are 4 standard rooms & the fixtures here in both the bedroom & the bathroom are the same as in Deluxe rooms.
- Bamboo Tree House: The Tree House is completely made out of bamboo to avoid deforestation & even the staircase that leads to the Tree House is made out of bamboo steps.

Green Gates Hotel offers rejuvenation therapies & treatments to their esteemed patrons at their exclusive "Ayurvedic Spa". Green Gates Hotel is associated with "Deseeya Ayurvedic Pharmacy" who has been practicing Ayurveda for nearly six decades.
Abhyanga - Sudhukriya:
Its is process of massaging the whole body for about 45 minutes with medicated oil and later bathes using herbal powder.. It improves vigor and vitality.
Sirodhara:
It is continuous irrigation of medicated oil on the forehead by means of earthern pot along with ABHYANGAM which is for about 60 minutes. This is highly useful in chronic headaches, migraines, mental stress, tension and neurological problems.
Pizhichil:
Comfortable warm medicated oil flows all over the body in a synchronized way and gentle massage is done on a special plank called "Dhroni". This is highly rejuvenating, enhances the muscular tone and tunes up the nervous system.
Sirodhara & Pizchichil:
Dhara is done on the forehead along with Pizchichil for the body. It gives the combined effect of Dhara & Pizchichil. Duration is for nearly 60 minutes.
Nasyam:
It is a process where the medicated oil is dropped into nostrils by a special device. This treatment is best recommended to people suffering from diseases affecting the region above neck.
Body Slimming:
This process is a deep massage using herbal powders. Benefits are it reduces obesity, imparts mobility to joints, strengthens muscles & refreshes the entire body.
Navarakizhi:
It is massaging the whole body or the affected parts of the body by small linen bags filled with Navara rice cooked in milk and herbal decoctions. Benefits are it is useful in diseases affecting the muscles & for strengthening muscles too.

Tourist Attractions
Pookot Lake: It is a natural fresh water lake, surrounded with evergreen rain forest. There is a fresh water aquarium & a green house here. Boating facilities are available here. Ideal dress: Casuals
Chain Tree: Chain tree in reality is a big banyan tree with lot of chains woven around it. There is a very popular myth for chains being woven around the tree & all locals swear by it. Unravel this myth at Green Gates & you really will be fascinated by it. Ideal dress: Casuals
Lakkidi View: Lakkidi is one of the highest locations in Wayanad. It is at an elevation of 700 meters above sea level. As the name suggests, it is a great place to watch sun rise & sun set & on a clear sunny day, the view is mesmerizing. Edakkal Cave: Edakkal caves in the Ambukuthy Mountains are not caves in the right sense. It is only a cleft in reality. It is a cleft of about 96ft. long & 22ft. wide in the rock. There are some interesting carvings of pre-historic age. This location is of breathtaking beauty. Ideal dress: Casuals
Soochipara Waterfalls: Soochipara waterfalls are really treasures of nature. Alight from your drive & take a one km. walk into the dense equatorial forest of Wayanad. Muhunga Wildlife Sanctuary: This sanctuary is located very near to the Karnataka border. Wild forests covering an area of 345 sq.mts. form Muthunga Wildlife Sanctuary, the biggest abode of wild animals in the entire Malabar region, Elephants, Spotted Deers, Bisons, Tigers, Wild Bears? etc. are all sighted here. Kuruwa Dweep: 995 acres of thick green forest along the banks of the tributaries of east flowing Kabini river forms Kuruwa Dweep or island. This island is totally uninhabited. This isolated area is an ideal picnic spot. Kuruwa dweep is a paradise for exotic birds. Enjoy the sights of different birds and learn about their nesting habits and mating calls. Chembra Peak: Chembra peak is 2,100 meters above sea level & the tallest point in Wayanad. Scaling this peak & back is an exhilarating 5 - 6 hours trek from the base. At 1,500/- meters from the base, there is crystal clear lake hardly touched by human hands. This peak is a trekker's paradise & an ideal site for camping out at night. Pakshipathalam: The labyrinth of Pakshipathalam is another fascinating trek.
