Mattanchery Palace: The Portuguese handed over this palace, built in the 16th century, to the then King of Cochin, possibly in return for allowing them trading privileges. Covered in intricate paintings and examples of old Kerala architecture, Mattancherry Palace is an important heritage site in Cochin.
Timings: 10am to 5pm, Friday holiday.

Pardesi Synagogue: A Jewish place of prayer, this Synagogue has been reconstructed by the Dutch after being partially destroyed by the Portugese. It features beautiful designs that go back all the way to 1664.
Timings: 10am to 1pm; 3pm to 5pm, Friday holiday, along with other Jewish holidays.
