Camp Chrysalid Junga

Camp Chrysalid is located in the scenic Village Maheshu in Junga district of Shimla, at an altitude of about 5100 ft perched on a ridge. The camp is spread across three acres of terraced land and is easily approachable by a jeep track. It is perched on a ridge which gradually climbs into thick pine and oak trees and overlooks the gorge formed by river Ashwini. Camp Chrysalid offers outdoor camps sites along with outdoor activities. From setting up and managing wilderness camps, to providing logistic support for outdoor programs to managing travel and logistics for large groups of top multinationals both in India and abroad - Camp Chrysalid has done it all. 

Hotel Facilities Facilities offered are photocopy facility, desktop computer and land phone at extra cost. Small library of books and CDs on nature and adventure, first aid medical facility, doctor on call and an amphitheatre. 

Room Amenities For accommodation, guests are provided 10 x 12 ft large Double fly waterproof canvas tents pitched on permanent base having 2 doors and 4 large roll up windows. There are 20 such units with twin-beds, insulated ground sheet, a small rack and a laptop point. Every unit has a separate 10 x 5 ft private bathroom and toilet having washbasin, a large mirror and a western toilet seat having access through the main tent. Hot water is provided 24 x 7 through the solar water heaters and in-case of no sunshine days in the morning, through a locally made water heater called 'Hamams'. 

Dining There is a fully functional pucca kitchen perched right above the camp. The food served here is hygienically prepared and is simple, wholesome and nutritious. They are mostly prepared with locally available raw vegetables fresh from the neighboring villages. For dining, they have a semi-covered area with free seating facility. All meals are as per fixed menu served at a designated time and area in buffet style.

Conference Facilities Camp Chrysalid has a large 770 sq ft conference room with large windows. It's a great view for indoor training sessions. This has flexible seating and can be done up as required by the group. The projector and screen at campus can be made available at an extra charge. There are open lawns in campus which can be used if and as required by the facilitators.
